All the trees on Guadalupe Hill are viewed with great respect, but those trees that form the Hall of Heroes cross the line into being revered.

The Sept of Blood and Harmony has a tradition of cremating members of the Sept they wish to remember. The ashes are used as fertilizer for a tree which is then planted in the Hall of Heroes. A stone plaque with the lost one's Deed Name carved in glyphs is laid beside the sapling, and there it remains until removed by natural causes.

Ribbons and other tokens of affection are often hung from the branches of an honored ancestor's tree to remember significant days in that person's life.
